Dr. Amanda is a Brazilian native who moved to South Florida at 9 years of age. Since being a little girl, Dr. Amanda always knew she wanted to become a physician, and with her love for working with kids, this seamlessly turned into aspirations to become a pediatrician in the future.
After attending college for her undergraduate degree at the Florida State University in Tallahassee, she attended medical school at St. George’s University in Grenada, where she met her future husband (now a local pediatric gastroenterologist). She completed her medical education and residency training in New York City where she and her husband lived for 8 years, and where she began her dream career as a primary care pediatrician.
Though living the “big city” life in New York was exciting and fulfilling, Dr. Amanda and her family realized that her quickly growing family of three young daughters needed more space. In the summer of 2023, they moved to West Palm Beach to be closer to family and friends, and Dr. Amanda joined the Palm Beach Pediatrics family.
As a pediatrician, Dr. Amanda aims to practice evidence-based medicine, and also enjoys incorporating her own parenting experience to guide patients’ families with their questions and concerns regarding their children. She loves to watch children and families grow and evolve through time, and believes it the utmost fulfilling part of her job as a pediatrician.
In her free time, Dr. Amanda enjoys spending time with her husband and three girls. Between school events, extracurricular activities, and weekend events, Dr. Amanda keeps very busy with her large and chaotic family. When not wearing her “doctor hat” and her “mommy hat”, Dr. Amanda enjoys going out to eat at new restaurants, watching movies, exercising, and traveling.
